Reading the table

A true shot attempt is every field-goal attempt plus every trip to the line that is not an and-one, so points per TSA is a true shooting rate with an exact trip count where conventional TS% estimates it as 0.44 free throws. Every rate here is recomputed from the summed counts of whatever seasons you select; nothing is an average of rates.

Qualified depends on the tab. The shooting tabs (Efficiency, Shot diet, Free throws, Plus, Percentiles) ask for six true shot attempts per team game; the rest ask for fifteen minutes per team game, so a rebounder or a defender who rarely shoots still counts. Both scale to short seasons and playoff runs. Positions are Basketball-Reference’s, and over several seasons a player is listed at the one he played the most minutes at. A player who changed teams shows one combined line by default; “Split by team” lists each stint. NBA columns come from the league’s own tables; over several seasons they are possession-weighted means, not recomputed. On/off compares the team with the player on the floor and off it, and reads as signal over a season, as noise over a handful of games. Its possessions belong to the five on the floor when each one ended.
